 Refreshing/Gentle Nourishing Emulsion

Today I'd like to talk about my most favorite line, Cle de peau beaute. Cle de peau Beaute means "key to beautiful skin" in French. It's a prestige line developed and being researched by Shiseido but what makes it different is that only the most advanced and latest technologies are used to create this beautiful line.

I've been using the entire line on and off for nearly 3 years. I couldn't recall any products that I have not used or tried so you could tell, I'm a huge fan! So let's start with the basic for now. Cle de peau has a really simple basic line consists of cleanser/softener/day moisturizer and night moisturizer. Those are what I started with and when used together, the results are truly impressing. My skin feels so much softer, the texture is really smooth, and overall, the skin is really well-balanced. It's designed for all ages, not  just mature like most people thought because it targets each cell's activities and once those cells functions normally, your skin is kept in optimal condition. Between these 3 years since I started using, I'm always go back and forth trying to find others that might be comparable to this but at the end, I always come back.

The line is definitely pricey but it's worth every penny if you are willing to invest in something that really works. My most favorite product of the line is the Gentle Balancing Softener. It helps soften and really hydrates your skin before you put on a moisturizer so that way, the skin will absorb the benefits of the moisturizer better. Normally, I will use the Refreshing line in the Summer because of the lighter texture and then Gentle line in the Winter. Don't ever hesitate to ask BA about this line, I've been to their counters in different countries and all of them are so polite and helpful :)

Dior Holiday 2010 Collection Eye Palette

Christmas is the time when I get most excited about makeup because I'm just curious what each company is gonna come out each year with their holidays limited edition.

My first purchase for this holidays is Dior Holiday Collection Eye Palette. It comes with beautiful 4 e/s colors that are very easy to wear, you can definitely create different looks from basic to dramatic according to your needs for this holiday seasons :)

Another good buy from this collection for me would be the brushes set; however, I have way too many brushes similar to the ones in the set but certainly good value for those who need them.

Cosme Decorte Whitelogist

Whitelogist Night Cream / Whitelogist Spots Concentration

Today I'd like to introduce you to one of my favourite Japanese brand, Cosme decorte. Cosme decorte is the high-end line of Kose and within this line itself, it also offers many different lines such as AQ, White-Science, Whitelogist, and their most popular product Moisture Liposome etc.

Whitelogist contains S-GL Kojic Acid (a combination of Kojic Acid, pateteine SS and licorice extract), which claims to target the cause of dark spots and pigmentation. Kojic acid is a well-known cosmetics ingredient for its effectiveness in lighten skin so after I discover this, I gave it a try and like many other whitening products, it helps to suppress the production of melanin after exposure to UV rays as well.

Whitelogist Spots Concentration has watery consistency that spreads easily without leaving the skin feel oily. It comes in a 25ml bottle which is relatively small comparing to a usual serum thus, a bottle only lasted me less than two month using morning/night. I'm using it in a combination with the Night Cream which has gel/cream consistency My skin type is combination with oily t-zone so I find the night cream to be a bit greasy for my liking; however, it would be perfect to use during Winter times.

After two months of using the two products during Summer, I find that my freckles on the cheeks have lighten a little bit and my overall skin tone stayed clear and translucent. Normally, I'm usually a bit tanned after Summer because of the strong UV rays up in Canada. I have been using whitening products for more than 5 years and I really like the results I'm getting from the two products. However, I believe that the serum doesn't do anything in terms of lighten the whole face skin tone but I believe it works effectively on the spots and that might be the reason why the bottle is smaller than other because it's meant to use only on the spots.

I also got samples of the Whitelogist Essence and Day Advanced and I'm liking the texture of both a lot. I especially like the fragrance of this line but for some, you might find the fragrance to be too heavy but this is normal for Japanese products. So if you do not like heavy fragrant skincare, this might not be for you.

Overall, I would recommend Whitelogist for those whose main concern is lightening spots and freckles and for those who have combination to dry skin because their day/night cream both are quite heavy and will definitely be too rich for oily skin people. Cosme decorte is quite generous in giving out samples so don't hesitate to ask them.

Guerlain Abeille Royale

Guerlain Abeille Royale
30 ml - CAD $160

This Fall, Guerlain introduces a powerful anti-aging serum that contains Pure Royal Concentrate which promotes the key mechanism of the healing process within the skin to help repair wrinkles and promote tissue firmness. This product mainly based on the power of bees, which produces some of the world's most effective natural healing substances.

I've been using this product for a month and so far I'm satisfied with the results. I don't have deep wrinkles but started to notices lines around the mouth and forehead. I really like the texture of this serum, it's light and liquidy which is easy to spread and absorbs quickly. The package of Abeille Royale is definitely eye-catching and will make a good decoration for your dressing table.
